“Pioneers of Christian Science in Oconto, Wisconsin: Part One, First Christian Science Church Edifice”

Fall/Winter 1993 issue

This edition of Library Notes is the first in a series which focuses on the early days of Christian Science in Oconto, Wisconsin, beginning in the early 1880’s. The dedicated workers associated with this tiny community hold the distinction of having erected the first church in the world built specifically for Christian Science services.

Subsequent articles in this series discuss in greater depth some of these individuals, as well as details about the edifice itself.
